The etched plates measure approximately 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 ", and are printed on sheets of good-quality laid paper measuring approximately 9 3/4 x 6 3/4 ". , Probably French, ca. 1925,

The etchings represent men and women, dressed in 18th Century French fashions, disporting themselves in numerous ways, chiefly in transports of what might be termed soft-core dalliance, but with enough other motifs to suggest that these images may have been intended as book illustrations. The etchings are unsigned, either in the plate or margin, adding a touch of mystery to these frolicsome inventions
