Published in the final year of the Derrydale Press, this marvellous depiction of a blue wing teal arising from marshland against a pale blue sky is one of the last of the Derrydale prints, and is from the most popular series the Press ever published. With the finest possible provenance: the publisher’s own copy Siegel, pp.194-195; Ordeman, The Derrydale Prints (2005), pp. 37-48, 104. Provenance: Eugene V. Connett, 3rd; his son, Eugene V. Connett IV.
