11-1/2 x 6 inches, [May 1881].An interesting example of original artwork Cox appears to have completed for "St Nicholas Illustrated Magazine for Girls and Boys," May 1881. The story is titled "The King and the Clown," and captioned in pencil: "His Royal back he'd stoop / to chase a rolling hoop / Or do the game of leap frog with the wildest of the group."
