Some of the plates on stubs or guards, no title page or text pages, a few plates with short tears along folds and margins, lower corners chipped, first map torn in lower center margin, some soiling, offsetting, markings on verso, else very good.Provides population information and also navigation. The maps are: The World, North America, United States, Eastern States, Middle States, Southern States, Western States (including Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and part of Virginia and Michigan, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and a Chartof the worl showing comparative sizes, states of society, forms of government, religion, etc. The states of society are described as Barbarous, Half Civilized, Civilized and Enlightened
